As well as raising sponsorship in the conventional way I will be raising money for Race for Life as usual through the sale of collectable bears and Beanie Babies. I have done this as long as I have been entering the Race for Life - since 2002.

Last year I raised £1000, mainly through the sale of 50 special CHERISH Race For Life pink bears, complete with CHERISH Race for Life medals and running numbers. I also sold bears on eBay. I plan to hold similar fundraising events this year and would appreciate as much support for the event as possible. As you can see from the photograph, last year's event was held in terrible weather conditions but my sister and I struggled on with all the other ladies and we completed the course! There is always a wonderful atmosphere at this event so whatever the weather we will be there again as long as we can walk/run!
