Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I will be taking part in the City of
London Race for Life on the 4th of June along with a close friend. Although we are first-timers to ‘Race for Life’ and I for one do not remember the last time I ran, we will be running in order to raise money for such a worthy cause so we really need your help to do so.
At this stage in our lives it seems as if each month brings news of another friend, family member or acquaintance that is setting out to do battle with cancer. Although so much advancement has been made to date, there is so much more research to be made to fight this illness. Through your help Cancer Research will be able to continue their life-saving research into the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer.
I decided to do this race in memory to those who have not managed to fight the illness, to let those who are currently on their daily struggle know that my thoughts are with them, and finally as a thank you to those who have helped cure cancer in so many cases.
This motivates me enough to put my trainers on! For those of you who know me well, you know how much I hate running! And so you know how much work I will have to put in to do this race!
