I race for my Dad, he was gone by my first wedding anniversary. By the time his lung cancer was diagnosed it was too late for treatment - he went quickly but is greatly missed. My son will never know him and I've done so much since he went that I wanted him to see.
I'm not a runner, Im overweight, unfit and generally very lazy in the physical activity department. But I have motivation and determination and I'm really going to do it - 5 miles and running as much as I can. For someone who wouldn't run for a bus its gonna be hard but I'm training and trying to raise my fitness level beforehand and who knows - maybe I will be able to run! 
If not a good brisk walk with running bursts. 
. Hey its all an improvement on last year when I didn't even believe I could walk 5 miles so declined participation!
