6 WEEKS TO GO - Wednesday 30 April. We appeared on ITV's local news, and even the presenters joined in the singing!
STOP PRESS - We had a concert on Good Friday so decided to have a photo shoot....in the most horrendous weather imaginable! Horizontal rain and howling wind - so as you can see we are therefore hiding from the elements under the veranda of the City Hall. Fingers crossed for better weather on the day...

Like most large organisations Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus have members that battle bravely with cancer whilst still continuing to take part in activities that are dear to their hearts - in our case, singing.
Twenty-nine ladies from The Chorus have therefore donned their trainers instead of their posh black shoes to form a 'Phil' team. We want to celebrate the determination of our members with cancer, remember colleagues who have died, express our joy with those who have survived whilst not fogetting those who after a long day (and a long Elgar filled rehearsal!) care for family and friends with the disease.So....more usually found on the City Hall stage singing our little hearts out we will be pounding the streets over the next few months to make sure we are all super fit for 15 June! Well, perhaps not....but we promise to do our best - whatever that may be - running, jogging, or walking but all with a smile and all - of course - with a song!Be it 10p or £10 Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus ladies will all be thrilled to have your support and look forward to raising money for the excellent cause of Cancer Research UK.
