Cancer Research UK is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to cancer research. We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

Thank you for visiting Alison Hanford and Vanessa Roberts's Race for Life fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online!

Alison and Vanessa have been school friends since the age of 4 and 5 and come from the same teeny village in Wales. Vanessa is now a teacher at Glyncoed Comprehensive School in Ebbw Vale and Alison is a web designer who runs www.daffodil-design.com. Alison will be 5 months pregnant and will be walking but Vanessa will be aiming to complete the course in a very good time.

Events like Race for Life are an important way in which Cancer Research UK is able to fund its life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you could help more people survive cancer.
