Hi, and welcome to my fundraising page!

My twin sister ran a 10k race for Cancer Reseach UK a couple of years ago and now I feel ready to do it. Although, she has offered to make it interesting. Run this race in 55 minutes and she'll add £50 towards my target. However, this is my first run so I shall be grateful to finish but 55 minutes will be amazing

The TARGET is £250
But don't think that you can't give more... or whatever you possibly can. I won't stop at £250, I want to raise as much money as I can for this charity and will shamelessly, nicely and legally pursue any individual, business or inanimate object that might be remotely interested in joining me on this journey.

But if flashing the CASH isn't for you, how about you join me in this run, help guide me through this training or help bring sponsorship to this page? Help me in the wanton chase for sponsorship, raising awareness or the persuit of peace and wellbeing. It would be amazing to get as many people involved as possible and who knows, you might be a better person than me and pick up the Space Hopper.

And now for the serious part
You know the statistics and in your life time, either you or someone close to you will suffer from some form of cancer. This isn't something we can protect ourselves from, and we must confront the elephant in the room as it were and pledge to live a healthy life, be aware of our bodies, support our loved ones and remember who we have lost.
I will be running this Race for Life in memory of my Grandfather Derek Hastings who fought the disease an incredible three times before we lost him in February 2009. My family have lost three of our four grandparents to this disease and I can tell you, by my twenties, seeing how this disease takes over a person, and then eventually their life is something I would wish on no one.
With you, I want to work towards a cure so that my parents, my sisters, my future family and loved ones will never experience or witness a death from cancer again.

About Me
I am a 23 year old former couch potato and jelly baby fancier living in Cheltenham. Last May, I found the gym and have lost an incredible two stone and feel confident and like I enjoy my life again. Now I'm in a good fitness position to do this, I can't wait to get started and rope as many of you as I can and share the buzz!
