Those who know me will remember just how poorly I was last year - after my diagnosis in January I had 6 sessions of chemotherapy, followed by surgery in June and finally 21 sessions of radiotherapy finishing August 3rd 2007.
I had very strong support from my family, friends, church and staff. I would like to thank them so much for being there. Since my treatment finished in August I have been determined to get fit and have taken up running ('jogging' according to Hayley, but we can't all be superstars!), something I haven't done since my teens. I also decided to take part in the Race for Life and I have never run that far before.

I hope you are able to sponsor me, as myself and Simon accessed the Cancer Research Website on many occasions last year used many of their publications and still do. Please help to keep this service running as I can testify that you never know when you or someone you know will need it.

JUNE 1st: Well I did it! And in under 30mins so pleased with myself, but very proud of Hayley she came in 3rd (out of 4695!) What a star and thanks to www.arenahair.co.uk for their sponsorship of her.
