On the 19th May 2006 I was told "I'm sorry, but you have cancer"
I had been diagnosed with cervical cancer, aged 26. My misconception that only elderly people got cancer was in tatters, as I tried to comprehend the devastating news I had just been given.
A month later I underwent a radical hysterectomy, and almost 4 years on I am cancer free! Hurrah!! All thanks to Mr Herod & team
I will be walking the course.

My Jo's Trust girls, some of whom are no longer with us, you all hold a special place in my heart, and made something so terrible blossom into something so special.
I love you all.
For all those fighting this disease now, and their families. Stay strong, don't give up.
Most of all, I race for hope. The hope that one day a cure can be found, and lives won't be shattered.
