I lost my Dad in 2005 to pancreas cancer, he was still young, he didnt quite make 65! I have never felt so useless, as no one could remove his pain, we had to watch him fade away. He died on the only day I decided to go in to work after sitting with him for over a week. Mum was by his side.

In 2006 my Mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I am, however pleased to say that in March 2007 she has been given a "year off" from treatment, so to celebrate this milestone, for the second year in a row, I have entered the race for life - I must be mad!
