Hello and welcome to my Race for Life fundraising page. Please dig deep, deeper than you have digged before and sponsor me online. Most of us have been affected by cancer in some way. The race is a whole 5km - a long way for me with my short legs!! I'm making a determined effort to succeed (and hopefully beat my running partner in the process - well, she has shorter legs than me, so there's every chance!! - plus she does have a lot of hair which will slow her down - ha ha).
Why put my weak, failing body through this gruelling task? Its in memory of my dad - Ben, and my Father in Law - John - both taken away from us too soon and both are missed, remembered and loved so much.
We will be wearing the Hoops on the day and no doubt will stand out from the crowd! I'll try to record the event in some way for those of you wishing to get your monies worth and see me suffer! Watch out for me waving from the ambulance as they whisk me away for much needed oxygen!
