UPDATE: 8th May '09 
... I have just been told that my cancer still hasn't gone so I now have to have even more chemotherapy and then a stem cell transplant. If it wants a fight, it's picked the wrong girl! I still hope to be at the Race for Life and I am delighted to have been asked to be their guest of honour and start the Barrow race! How exciting.
UPDATE: 3 June '09 
... I am going to be able to make it to the Race for Life ... I'm so thrilled that I can do it . I have a gap in my chemo and they managed to harvest four and a half million of my stem cells yesterday, so I'll be home for this weekend and not back to hospital until Tuesday. Hurray!
UPDATE: 21 July '09 
... I made it to the Race for Life and read my poem out on stage to everyone. I really enjoyed the day and my best friends Clarissa and Megan walked with me. Mum is sending the remaining cheques in today and it looks like I raised £1,205.00 which I'm really proud of. My transplant date is scheduled for 25 August so I've been in Liverpool for quite a while now on conditioning therapy. I think I'll be quite ill for a while afterwards, but hopefully I'll be fighting fit for next year's race. Thank you, love Alice x
