WE DID IT !!
Well we did it and truth be told we quite enjoyed it, or some of us did anyway !
We all finished it a pretty good time of less than twenty six minutes, and we were all in the top forty home, and out of one thousand and nine hundred runners that was not a bad effort. Had we started a bit closer to the front we might have been even nearer the front, perhaps next year.
It was a tremendous event to be involved with and with so many people all there with the same goal, beating this dreadful disease, we were only too pleased to be part of the group event.
We have raised an amazing figure of over £4000, with donations still coming in and when we have a final figure we will let you know our total.
Many thanks for your amazing generosity.
Over the last couple of years, we have all been affected by Cancer in some way.Becky's mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and Caroline's aunt with bowel cancer, thankfully both are now on the road to recovery.
Vicki's sister was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour and sadly lost her fight for life three years ago.
Although Amy and Libby have not directly been affected by cancer, most of you reading this will have heard that our boss Alan has been diagnosed with cancer, therefore affecting us all in the yard.
Many thanks for your support – Together we will beat cancer.
