Hi every-one,

Last year my mum got diagnosed with Breast Cancer that had spread to her lymph glands, she had two major operations and now she is battling with the horrible chemo! She has nearly finished her 3 month treatment and then has radio therapy for a few weeks.

There is a 50% chance that the treatment will work, but if you saw my mum you would think there was nothing wrong with her - (apart from her Mrs Potato head - her words!)

 In a few weeks we find out whether the treatment has worked (cross fingers!)

Sorry for being blunt, but there is no point in skirting around the truth of cancer, those of you who have seen it happen know the effects it can have on family, friends and more importantly the person which has this horrible disease.

So basically I am going to attempt to run the Race For Life on Bournemouth Prom on June 21st at 2:00pm with some family and friends! Unfortunately mum wont be able to do it, but we are all going to run our little hearts out for her and all the other women going through the same!

Wouldn't it be good to give money for a cause which you know effects so many people in the UK. I always thought how lucky I was that I knew no-one close to me that has been through this trauma, but I obviously didn't touch wood, because it has happened, we're all going through it and my mum WILL get through it!

If you do fancy giving, you don’t know how much this would mean to me but more importantly the women it can save it the future, who know’s maybe you could be saving my life if we’re being honest!

If you want to come and watch me, my big sis and all my mum’s friends run (it should be really funny!!) come and watch us I am number 965 – this is probably the amount of minutes it’s going to take me to complete the circuit!!! We will all be wearing t-shirts with a picture of my mum on it to show how proud we are of her!
