My second 5km Race for Life completed in 31 minutes 37 seconds!!! A whole 6 minutes faster than last time and 4 minutes faster than my previous personal best! Also smashing the challenge time of 35 mins... If it weren't for my aching legs I would have thought it was a dream. This time it was in Cleethorpes which is close to my home town where my Mum lives. My Mum and my good friend Sue are the inspiration for my entry, as is everyone who's life has been touched by cancer. I also ran in memory of my Dad who died suddenly in October 2009 and Uncle Terry who died in December 2009. A huge thanks to everyone that has been very generous and sponsored me already. So far I have raised over £500 for Cancer research UK. However, there is still time to sponsor me securely online now if you have not got round to doing it yet. Your donation, no matter how small, will help more people survive cancer, every penny counts!
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating so that an extra 25%, plus a 3% supplement, can be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support. Love Helen x
