The saddest thing about the disease is that it cannot be prevented. Cancer doesn't choose who it targets so even the healthiest and strongest man could one day succumb to this killer disease.
Rigorous research to understand how cancer develops as well as to design and come up with novel cancer treatments is continually progressing. Through the years, many cancer treatments have been discovered, all resulting from the continual effort and determination of research endeavours.
Events like Race for Life are an important way in which Cancer Research UK is able to fund its life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now, not only do you help Cancer Research UK in providing and supporting cancer sufferers, you also contribute to funding research ventures that study and investigate on cancer.
