Cancer affects families every day I know first hand how important raising money for research is.  Without Cancer Research I would not be alive today.  I was diagnosed and treated for advanced Cervical Cancer at the age of 26 I had to put my trust in the latest treatments at the time and the staff and doctors to give me the best possible chance of survival.   Race for life is also a milestone for me.  In October 2008 I was diagnosed with a Brain tumour, I had brain surgery to remove this and fortunately it was not cancer but there was a time when I was worried that it was.  As a result of the surgery I lost the use of my left foot and leg and was unable to walk and had to use sticks to keep me upright.  It has taken me some time but over the past year I have learned to walk and jog again and I have set up my business again www.calmthechaos.co.uk  offering Personal Fitness Training and Therapy promoting the benefits "Self Belief, Good  Nutrition , Physical Fitness and Motivation for optimum health".  It will be 20 months from surgery when I run the Race for Life 5k.  I am dedicating my run not only to myself to say thank you (I'm still here)  but to my wonderful dad Jock Morrison who unfortunately lost his battle with cancer 2 years ago.  He was and is my inspiration and motivation to take every opportunity in life and live it to the full.  I want to thank you for visiting my Race for Life sponsorship page. What ever you can afford to donate no matter how small will make a big difference to families and friends and I am truly grateful for your support.  Please come to support the runners on the day if you can we will really appreciate your being there.  Please dig deep and sponsor me online – it’s quick, easy and totally secure.
