We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

This year it's personal. As some of you know, my nephew is currently undergoing treatment for a medulloblastoma, something I never imagined in my wildest dreams. After all, these things happen to other people - don't they?

Actually no, they don't, which is why events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you can help more people survive cancer.
