It is over now and we both managed to do it in 32 minutes, Oni bettering her time by 1 meagre second, and Kate by an amazing 4 minutes! Basingstoke's course was harder than Newbury's, with its hills, tiny paths and open fields, and we did felt the hotter weather this time, but we enjoyed the great atmophere and it was nice being "Race for Life" veterans and knowing what to do.
Unfortunately we have not reach our fundraising target yet. But there is still time to sponsor us, remember that every pound counts and no mater how small each donation is, everything builds up!
We would like to thank very much everyone that has sponsor us and support us throughout our training and during the race. A special mention has to go to Oni's workmates that sponsor us £50 for her to race dressed as a ninja.
Every penny counts, so please, even the smallest of donations can make a huge difference!
Events like Race for Life are an important way in which Cancer Research UK is able to fund its life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring us now you could help more people survive cancer.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me - Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, at least an extra 25% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you when you tick the Gift Aid box.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support - together we will beat cancer.
Lot's of love,
Kate and Oni xxx
