This Time last Year I was undergoing my Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer as you all know. Its been a long journey since then, I finished the Chemo, and then had 5 weeks of Radiotherapy. I have never been so glad to finish. Infact, if I remember correctly I celebrated in style at my brothers home and got completely paralytic...maybe not the best.

I was planning to return to work in October 2009, when in September I was taken into hospital with a rare Auto Immune illness called "Dermatomyositis", this illness can not be cured, and it causes your body to attack the muscles in your Upper legs and torso, and it is linked to certain types of cancer. The Docs are unsure all my treatment brought the illness on or it was something I would have got anyway. So thers I was thinking I'd be running the Race for Life this year, when really I have even less chance of running that Last year....

This year I'm going to complete the course in memory of two lovely men. Willie Paton and John "MGA" Williams. Willie, I had known for many years as a material man off-shore, he used to ring my up when were both having our treatment and we would have a bitch and moan about things, he said that we would both be okay.
