First of all, a big thank you for taking the time to look at this page and even consider sponsoring me for this event

Here's the official blurb - "As a charity, Cancer Research UK rely overwhelmingly on the success of fundraising events such as Race for Life to continue our life-saving research into the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer."

On a more personal note, this is going to be a huge challenge for me - I've never been a runner - the 1500m used to kill me at secondary school. 5km is going to be a killer!

I know that there's no pressure on me to run this race, and that I could walk it, but I think it's only fair that if I'm asking you guys to sponsor me to do this, it's only right that I really push myself and commit to run the whole course.
