I realise that many of you already had to dig deep last year when my husband Steve shaved his head to support me as I was going through chemo. He raised more than £2,500 for the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre Appeal at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital!

Everyone we knew was so generous, I really don't like asking for more money and that is why I am keeping my fundraising target to a minimum. I just thought that if I could raise a few pounds it would be a great way of celebrating the end of my breast cancer treatment.

The Race for Life should be good fun and I intend to attempt a steady trot. I can't say fairer than that.
