UPDATE: Running in memory of Grandad who passed away 11.4.08 UPDATE: 15.4.08. Emily Bucknell will now be running in place of Lucy Bucknell who cannot now attend I'm running to celebrate my cousin Hannah Millingtons triumphant battle with Osteosarcoma in 2007. Hannah battled and is beating this disease courageously and has recently had a chest scan to confirm she's cancer free. She is testament to the belief that a fighting spirit can beat this disease. If you want to feel humbled and inspired please read her story: http://www.halashawks.co.uk/hannah/diary.htm I'm also running for my Grandad, who continues to keep a strong spirit and positive outlook despite battling cancer for the second time, at the ripe old age of 81 ! He's had his fair few trips to Christies and supports practically every cancer charity going himself. Finally, I'm running for our Polish friend Darek who passed away last year at the tender age of 18 after a long and tiresome fight and who always had the most optimistic outlook even at the end.
