We did it! We finished in a very comfortable 50 minutes - a great walk on a boiling hot day around beautiful countryside.

Why am I entering Race for Life?

Pat, one of my oldest, dearest and long standing friends has breast cancer, finished her chemo and now is going through radio.

Last December I lost my gym buddy, tennis partner and dear neighbour Sandy.

Vicki stood no chance with ovarian cancer, a delayed diagnosis can mean the difference between life and death.

My mother died from cancer, too long ago. If she was diagnosed now, it's more than likely she could be a survivor.

And there are more of course, all of us know someone who is or has been touched by cancer.

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you can help more people survive cancer.
