Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you can help more people survive cancer.

Most of us at some time or another have been affected by cancer, so I'm sure you'll agree that this is a really worthwhile cause.

There's even a rumour that I will be doing Race for Life dressed as a fairy - well worth sponsoring me for that alone, and you're more than welcome to come along on the day and cheer me on - those of you that know how shamefully poor my athletic ability is will know that this is a big thing for me to do.  I appreciate all your suppport and encouragement as well as your donations.
