My personal message:

Hey, it's Niki, thanks for going onto my fundraising page.

I've already beaten my target, but it shouldn't make a difference; even if you could donate 10p, that would be lovely.

I'm sorry if this is coming across as overly patronizing, it's not intentional. :P

I'm doing Race For Life because my Step-Grandad died of Brain Cancer twelve years ago. I was only young when it happened, but to this day I can still remember the effect it had on him; it was heartbreaking. It's comforting to know that in the future, thousands of people could be saved from the condition.
Three of my quite close mates have lost their mothers because of some form of Cancer. They're all male, so in a way I'm also running this for them, and in memory of their losses.
