We support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 4,250 scientists, doctors and nurses. Over the past 10 years alone, thousands of lives have been saved through earlier detection and improved treatments. But, much work remains to be done if we are to achieve our aim of beating cancer.

Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me now you can help more people survive cancer.

Most of us know someone who has suffered from cancer and it has touched so many lives. I am taking part in the Race For Life this year in memory of my mum Dawn and my dad John, who both passed away from the big C. It's the first time I've done anything like this!
