Two years ago I was diagnosed with cancer! I am still here and I strongly believe that research into cancer has played a great part of my ongoing survival. Last year I really wanted to do the Race for Life but had to cancel last minute due to the cancer having returned.

This year, I am more determined than ever to do the Race for Life, not just for me but for my Aunt who died of cancer last year, for our friend Tabz who is the same age as me and died this year,  for Kendra's dad who died last year from bowel cancer, for Bec who died from bowel cancer this year being younger than me even, for Barbara who is in remission from breast cancer, for my friend Karen who is in remission from breast cancer, for Tracy who is fighting cancer like me, for Amanda whose cancer returned after nearly 10 years in remission, for Rob's friend that is fighting cancer, for my friend Susan's father and for Kimberley's grandfather and the long list of people continues.

You all know people that are affected by cancer, please give generously - 1 in 3 of us will be affected by cancer.
