Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
I am one of the fortunate ones, I survived Cancer- but too many people tragically do not - we have lost several members of our family and close friends to this cruel disease. It is now almost exactly 3 years since my diagnosis and I am feeling better than ever, I'm getting fit and determined to start doing my bit as a sort of pay back and a thank you for all the marvellous care and support I received when I was so ill. I have included my wonderful hubby and son in the picture because they were my source of strength and without them I probably wouldn't be here today.
I am doing the Race For Life as a celebration of my own precious life and in memory of those we have lost.
