This will be our third year of taking part in the 5K Race for Life, and so far we have raised over £34,000 for Cancer Research UK. I count myself to be extremely lucky that I am fit and healthy enough to be able to take part in this event and I really hope you will enable our team to continue our fundraising by sponsoring us today.
I hear you say 'but what difference does £10 make?' and '.......'but i sponsored you last year.......!!' but the truth is we run this race because Cancer affects everyone and this charity will never be short of work. In order for Cancer Research UK to continue their life saving work there must simply be enough funds to enable them to do so. This is exactly what fundraising events such as Race for Life set out to do.
The sad fact is that we have all been touched by Cancer or know somebody who has suffered. I have been in Remission from Hodgkins Lymphoma for over 18 months now as had to fight Cancer first hand at a young age of 22. Words cannot simply express how appreciative my family and I are of the work that this vital charity has done and will continue to do to help more people like me survive cancer. Please give whatever you can, and please know that your generosity is HUGELY appreciated!!
