In my life I've never imagined that cancer would affect anyone in my life and even though its not my own health affected it feels like its happening to me!
Earlier this year my mum went for a regular checkup and in April was diagnosed with cervical cancer and it has unfortunately also spread to other parts of her body. The shock of the bad news has changed my whole life and I still can hardly believe the reality of the situation. I cry day and night about losing my mum but more worry about if cancer is hurting her and the fact that I can't do anything to take it away!!
This is why I've decided to take part in the Race for Life this year...
