UPDATE: I have reached my original goal of £500 and have now increased my target to £1000, as more, (more money, more research, and more hope) is always better when it comes to fighting cancer! My Dad would have been so proud! Thank you all for believing in me, I'll be thinking of you all on race day! PLEASE spread the word! Let's keep raising money and making a difference! --Teresa
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Cancer is devastating. I know too many people who have been affected by it and I want to help change that. As those of you who know me already know, my father died on September 19, 2005 after a 1 year, 4 month battle with lung cancer. Nothing could have prepared our family for everything that we went through following his diagnosis. If I can do anything, no matter how small, to help prevent even just one family from having to go through that pain then it is worth it, and the least I can do. We can only stop cancer if we work together! Please dig deep and sponsor me online for my 5km run and start making a difference today!
I run in my Dad's memory, but I also run for my friends and family that are survivors so advancements in treatment may ensure longer lives for many more.
As a charity, Cancer Research UK rely overwhelmingly on the success of fundraising events such as Race for Life to continue life-saving research into the prevention, treatment and cure of all forms of cancer.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
